Getting started

Two things unlock a repair: your access token and your FTP details. Here’s how to get both.

1. Get your access token

Purchase the gig on Fiverr (fiverr.com/drglenn). After your order, you’ll receive a token that looks like:

WPR-AB7K-9MQ2-X4TP

Each token works for one website. The first site you use it on is the site it stays locked to.

2. Find your FTP details

You need four things from your web host:

These are usually in your hosting welcome email, or in your hosting control panel (cPanel → “FTP Accounts”). If you’re not sure, your host’s support can tell you in a minute.

3. (Recommended) Create a temporary FTP account

For maximum peace of mind, create a brand-new FTP account just for this repair, then delete it when you’re done. That way you never share your main password, and access ends completely afterward.

In cPanel: open FTP Accounts → create an account → set it to the folder your WordPress site lives in (often public_html) → use that username and password in the tool → delete the account when finished. Most other control panels have a similar “FTP Accounts” section.

4. Run the tool

  1. Open the repair tool and run the free scan first.
  2. Enter your token and FTP details, keep secure FTPS ticked, and click Connect.
  3. Review the findings and press “Try the safe auto-fix” (or apply fixes one at a time).
  4. When your site is working, click Disconnect & wipe, and delete any temporary FTP account you created.
Can’t connect? Double-check the host and port, and confirm your host offers FTP/FTPS (not SFTP-only). See the FAQ for common fixes.
