Your data & privacy

A clear account of what information the tool touches, how briefly, and what we keep afterward (almost nothing).

What we access — and for how long

Your FTP username & password	To connect to your site and apply fixes	Encrypted in the server-side session with the key held by your browser. Wiped on disconnect or after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Your site’s web address	To test whether the site is working before and after fixes	Only during your session.
Your access token	To confirm you’re authorised for that one site	Stored by us to prevent reuse on other sites. Contains no personal data.
PayPal checkout information	To authorize and, after your confirmation, capture the displayed beta price	Card and bank-account numbers stay with PayPal. We may retain transaction status, name, email, and limited receipt details for support and refunds.
A few config/log files from your site	Read to diagnose the error; some are edited to fix it	Not retained by us. Backups stay on your server, under your control.

What we do not collect

Your website’s content, pages, posts, or images
Your database or anything in it (customers, orders, users)
Your visitors’ personal data
Your FTP password in any stored or readable form

Where “backups” live

For supported file changes, the tool writes and verifies the original in wp-repair-backups on your own website. File contents pass through service memory during that transfer but are not retained. Delete backups only after verifying the site and deciding you no longer need Undo.

Cookies

The tool uses a single, strictly-necessary session cookie so your browser stays connected during the repair, plus a temporary key used to protect your credentials. These are deleted when you disconnect. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Your control

Use a temporary FTP account and delete it afterward.
Change your FTP password after the repair if you wish.
Delete the wp-repair-backups folder once your site is fixed.
Click Disconnect & wipe at any time to end access immediately.
